A podcast with our favorite Broadway people.

We're Ellie and Haley, and we started 2 Kids & a Broadway Star in 2020 as a way to stay connected to the theater community during the shutdown (and beyond) and to give our favorite Broadway people a platform to talk about the organizations and causes that matter most to them.

ABOUT US

We met at our favorite community theater when Haley was 6 and Ellie was 4—and we've been friends ever since. We've done more than 40 shows together, hung out at a bunch of stage doors and go to BroadwayCon together whenever we can. Why? Because theater is our home. And we love the amazing community that comes with it. When Broadway shut down in 2020 because of the pandemic, we started Two Kids & A Broadway Star to stay connected with all of the people who love it as much as we do. And it turns out, doing a podcast with Broadway stars is so much fun, we've kept it going ever since.

All of our accounts are monitored by our parents.

How can we help theater right now?

When we started Two Kids, Broadway was in the middle of its longest shutdown ever. We missed being in theaters and getting a chance to meet some of our favorite actors. But even more important, we knew Broadway needed help.

So from day one, we've asked all of our guests two really important questions:

What can we do to support theater right now?

And what organization needs our help?

Then we give our guests time to talk about the cause they chose and our parents make a donation as a thank you for being on Two Kids & a Broadway Star. We ask our listeners to consider making a donation, too, so we can all continue to support the theater community.

Our podcast and our guests have helped raise money for dozens of organizations, including The Actors Fund, Fair Fight, Stacey's Drama Club, The Arthritis Foundation, Broadway for Racial Justice, Urban League, BCEFA, Planned Parenthood, community theaters and so much more.

We're so grateful to all of you for helping us make a difference. If you'd like to donate to the causes our guests care about, you can find links in all of our show notes!
